Proper Oral Resting Posture with Instructions & Visuals
This video is designed to help you teach your students about correct oral resting posture (oral rest position, or your mouths “home position”).
What is oral resting posture? This is how you position your tongue and mouth while at rest. It is your mouth's "home position" throughout the day. This is important to proper development of the teeth and palate.
Want even more to help you teach this? You can get the Oral Resting Posture Guide at peachiespeechie.com This guide is designed to increase student awareness of articulators and oral resting posture through high quality visuals, photos and instructions. It pairs perfectly with this video!

This video and accompanying worksheet activities is simply designed to help professionals teach these concepts to students. If you have concerns about your child's speech-language skills or oral resting posture, you may want to reach out to a local professional such as an SLP or orofacial myologist.

Hello @ExpensiveDancingPoteto. If you are a native Japanese speaker, the /r/ will be difficult for you because it's not a sound in your language repertoire. For the majority of native English speakers, the /r/ sound comes naturally in our sound development. Those who have issue with the sound are often referred to Speech therapy to correct it.

I was in Speech class for 7 Years and still cant pronounce The "R" by its self or "ER" sound or the "R" in the middle of words like Hard. I can only pronounce R's in the beginning of words. It sounds like hawd when i say it lmao. People still make fun of me for it and im 15
